Denise enthusiastically serves as the Executive Director for the Lansing-based non- profit, Center for Financial Health. The position is a busy one, and Denise manages many activities from business operations to homeowner education and outreach.

Denise found her niche in affordable housing early in her career, and has been playing to those strengths ever since. Her varied background has provided her with a broad knowledge base which she enjoys sharing as a frequent speaker on affordable homeownership, foreclosure policy issues, and financial education.

Adeline served as Executive Vice President of Financial Health Credit Union (now Option 1 Credit Union) and retired in January 2009 after 21 years of service. She is a co-founder of the Center for Financial Health, established in 2007 and served as its first Executive Director. She retired from the Center in January 2012. Since her retirement, Adeline continues to volunteer to assist with HUD reporting. She is tireless in her commitment to our mission and is passionate about empowering people to help themselves, through education and counseling, to build a strong financial future.

Katrina has been a Housing Counselor at the Center since 2009. Searching for a more positive approach to help the Center's clients, Katrina looked at the demographics of her client base in 2011 and determined that reverse mortgages, if responsibly pursued and adequately researched, could alleviate financial strain for some of her clients. Katrina was motivated to study for and receive her HECM counseling certification. This resulted in the Center being able to expand it's offerings to meet the needs of a new segment of potential clients with counseling about reverse mortgages.

Katrina is passionate and persistent about the delivery of high quality, fair and effective service to clients which stems from years of experience in mortgage lending and real estate practices. She is truly a champion of service, addressing the needs of nearly 600 clients by solely herself.

As a mother of four, Ann has first-hand experience in handing out the tough love, and she brings the approach to each of her clients. The Center maintains a focus on empowering our clients so that they may become better advocates for themselves. While Ann's clients know that they have not found a crutch to lean on, surveys from clients consistently show that clients exit the counseling process grateful for the skills and knowledge Ann imparts along the way. Ann knows that her client's situations are never easy, but her unique ability to help them recognize the control they have over the situation allows them to move toward the solution. As one of Ann's clients writes:

"Ann's counseling regarding the back property taxes I owed made me aware of all the interest and penalties I was paying. She is responsible for me paying my back taxes in a timely manner by helping me see how that was possible".
