Classes & Events

Whether you are interested in buying a home, preventing foreclosure, or getting control of your money, Center for Financial Health’s online courses are a great place to begin!  We also deliver short, informative videos and web meetings on the topics of down payment assistance, getting mortgage ready, and other topics relating to your money and housing. 


This course covers both the complexities of buying a house and the responsibilities of owning one. It meets all MSHDA, HUD, FANNIE MAE, and National Industry Standards for homebuyer programs.


Down Payment Assistance

  • We know you have questions about down payment assistance. We want to help. For example, did you know you may be eligible for up to $7,500 in down payment assistance for your home purchase, even if you have owned a home in the past?     Thinking of buying a home? Worried that today’s real estate market is too competitive for home new homebuyers? Join the Center for Financial Health for a House Party and ask the experts about home buying on Tuesday, July 24th , from 6 pm to 8pm at the Lansing Brewing Company at 518 E. Shiawassee Street in Lansing, Michigan.

Money Challenge

  • The Center for Financial Health is now offering an innovative wealth-building challenge in group sessions and online. The Money Challenge provides education and support to increase financial capability at no charge! Learn more about banking, saving, investing, and goal-setting in a fun, convenient setting.

    Over a 30 day period, we deliver daily challenges to help you take control of your money. No matter if you are new to personal finance or if you are looking to expand your skill set, our classes will have something for everyone! A certificate of completion is given to those who attend all sessions. The Challenge is FREE to all participants and is valued at over $400 per participant.

Money Mangement Course Online

We have partnered with E-Home Money Management to offer an online financial capabilities course. The Money Management course is a comprehensive summary of personal finance.
